Bats

Just how many bats does a team of 11 kids need?

Too funny! However, I have seen teams with more than that...

I suppose it's something like women's shoes. :)

OMG...I thought you understood baseball. If you will take a good look at the bats you will notice they are variation in length weight and thickness at the handgrip. There are also models with players names on it. When I was growing up it was the Mickey Mantle model, Willy Mays, Duke Snider, Stan Musial models.

Your son will look at the bats, lift them, swing them a little, see how it feels when he swings it.

Then he will see what "model" it is. He will choose his bat by "model" of his favorite player. It will have nothing to do with weight, length, thickness.

This is very similar tto the way adolescent girls choose their first boyfriend.
