Colorado-bound

We've been talking about what active thing C-man could do over the winter now that he doesn't want to do judo. Beerman and C-man came up with downhill skiing. And so, I set up a private lesson for him - thinking that if we could get him up on skis in a positive experience, he'd like it.

So the day came, and he was really nervous - irrationally and uncharacteristically ornery. But we got him fitted for boots, and skis, and a helmet, and he was off on his way with Instructor Dan. As he left us to go to his lesson, Beerman commented that he's either going to hate it or decide he's a world champion.

When his lesson was done, he was all smiles, looked at us, and said, "When can we go to Colorado?!?"

Next Saturday, he has a two-hour lesson, again with Instructor Dan. I think we may have found his winter activity.

So maybe you'll be in my neck of the woods for Olympic training... :) This is one of the best blog headers you've ever had. Really cracked me up!
