Good Riddance, England!

We started the morning with the annual Bayside 4th of July parade. I took pictures of the parade, since my child has a clogged eye duct and it's red and almost swollen shut (all confirmed by an obligatory holiday doctor's visit) and is something nobody wants to look at lot alone seen preserved in photos. Then we had our obligatory ice cream cups at the park courtesy of the Boy Scouts, and played on the playground. All while Beerman and Uncle R worked on the roof.

Tonight is fireworks by the pond. In the middle, I'm planning a low-key day of reading my latest book, playing baseball, and figuring out what to feed the hungry crew.

Happy 4th to you!
