I have loads of cookbooks. Jacques Pepin, Lydia Bastianovich, Rick Bayless, Culinary Institute, Look and Cook... but there are a few of my old faithfuls when it comes to "home cookin'". Fanny May is one of those. As I brought it out today to make one of the last strawberry shortcakes of the season (my farmers market lady told me it was the very end), I realized that the book is
dead ready for retirement.
